I feel like I must be one of the lucky ones because I have had such an easy pregnancy so far (knock on wood). Yes, I had morning (well, all-day) sickness for a large amount of my first trimester. But other than that, I have felt quite 'normal'. Most days, I am able to get up and do things I normally used to do before becoming pregnant. Granted, I feel a lot more tired than seven and a half months ago, but I still have the energy to get up and around. I also am very fortunate and blessed to be able to stay at home as a house-wife and soon to be stay at home mother. This leaves me with time to myself during the afternoons to have the house looking nice, presentable, and comfortable for Robert and me as well as making time for friends and appointments in the mornings/afternoons. I can really make a schedule for myself as to what needs to be done each day based upon my energy level. Everything always works out just fine and there is never really a stressful day for us.
This morning I had my appointment with my OBGYN. I have to say that there is so much of a difference between going to an OBGYN as opposed to a midwife/doula. I will explain this in a further post. Everything was perfect (as I knew it would be) and I was sent on my merry way. Tomorrow, I will go with Robert to work and meet with a friend later in the morning for some baby shopping and knitting :) Sunday Robert and I are going to our first baby flea market !!! I cannot WAIT !! This special flea market is hosted only four times a year ! And we are lucky enough to have one this August before our little girl is here ! I am really super excited and am thrilled to see what everyone is selling !
Lately, I am in a state of euphoria throughout almost all of my day and find reasons to smile in all things. I am forming such a strong love and bond with our baby. I love her so much now that I can hardly even imagine how much love I will have for her tomorrow, and the day after that....
Awww, this post was full of so much love. Made my eyes a little water- could be my music in the background, which is a splash emotional (haha). BUT, it's mostly the post. How cute - a baby flea market. That sounds really neat! I wish I could be there to attend with you guys. However, it's great that you two are able to do that together. You're a wonderful couple/team... whatever you want to call it. Great life mates! haha.
ReplyDeleteI miss you two already! Can't wait to see you again. Enjoy your time, and your last visits to the midwife/doula. :D
